Samsung Epic 4G Specifications and Features

Samsung Epic 4G is a slider phone which combines a spacious 4.0” Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen (480 x 800 pixels resolution) and a side slide full QWERTY keyboard. The display is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass, TouchWiz 3.0 UI, Multitouch, Accelerometer and Proximity sensor. The phone uses Android OS v2.1 Eclair (upgradable to v2.2 Froyo) and powered by 1 GHz Cortex-A8 processor, PowerVR SGX540 GPU, 512 MB RAM, and 512 MB ROM. The storage capacity can be expanded by using microSD card (up to 32GB). The connectivity features consist of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; WiMAX, Wi-Fi hotspot (Android 2.2); Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP; and microUSB v2.0.

You can find two cameras in this phone. The main 5 MP rear camera features autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, and video recording capability (720p@30fps). A secondary VGA camera on the front panel can be used for video calling.

Samsung Epic 4G Hard Reset Guide

Well… sometimes when you get bored with your Samsung Epic 4G custom settings, you can restore the default factory settings by performing a factory reset (hard reset). Note that all data, including downloaded applications are deleted. It is recommended to back up your important data/files before performing hard reset procedures.

To reset Samsung Epic 4G:

  1. Press image > image and tap image > Privacy > Factory data reset. (You will see a disclaimer.)
  2. Read the disclaimer and tap Reset phone.
  3. If you are certain that you would like to restore all factory settings, tap Erase everything.
