HTC Rhyme Specifications and Features

HTC Rhyme has 3.7” S-LCD capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The display supports for Multi-touch input method; Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate; Proximity sensor for auto turn-off; HTC Sense UI v3.5; and Touch-sensitive controls. On the rear panel you can find 5 Megapixel Camera with some features: Autofocus, LED flash light, 720p Video Recording ability and geo-tagging. And in the front panel, a VGA camera is also available for video calling.

HTC Rhyme uses the Android v2.3 (Gingerbread) as its operating system and powered by 1 Ghz Scropion processor with Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM8655 chipset and 768MB RAM. 4GB built-in memory is available along with the expandable microSD card up to 32GB (8GB microSD is included in the package). This smartphone works under Dual Band CDMA2000 1xRTT/ 1xEVDO /1xEVO Rev.A with 800 / 1900 Mhz frequency — up to 3.1 Mbps. But it seems that there is also GSM version of HTC Rhyme.

Resetting HTC Rhyme to Its Factory Data Setting

Do a factory reset to return HTC Rhyme to its original state before the first time you turned it on. If you’re passing HTC Rhyme on to someone else or HTC Rhyme has a persistent problem that cannot be solved, you can perform a factory reset (also called a hard reset). Factory reset is not a step to be taken lightly. It’ll permanently delete all your data and customized settings, and will remove any applications you’ve downloaded and installed. Be sure to back up any data and files you want to keep before you do a factory reset.

Performing a factory reset via settings. The most convenient way to do a factory reset is via the settings.

  • From the Home screen, press MENU image, and then tap Settings.
  • Tap SD & phone storage > Factory data reset.
  • Tap Reset phone, and then tap Erase everything.

Performing a factory reset using hardware buttons. If you can’t turn HTC Rhyme on or access settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the hardware buttons on HTC Rhyme.

  • Press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
  • Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
  • Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.
