Sony Xperia M (C1904) Specifications and Features

With a dual-core 1 GHz Krait processor, Adreno 305 GPU and 1 GB of RAM inside, the Sony Xperia M offers decent speed to handle basic tasks and launch multiple apps. Android v4.1 (Jelly Bean) operating system also runs pretty well in this phone. The bad news is that you won’t be able to play high-graphic games since they are too heavy for the phone’s specs. To accommodate your data and media files, the 4 GB of internal storage (2 GB is available for user) seems too small. Luckily, you can expand the storage capacity by using external memory card up to 32 GB. There are a lot of options for connectivity, including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band), Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi hotspot; DLNA; Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP, ANT+; microUSB v2.0; and NFC.

The Xperia M comes with a sleek design and beautiful interface. It sports a large 4.0” TFT capacitive touchscreen which will give you more comfort in typing on the onscreen keyboard. The resolution of 480 x 854 pixels (245 ppi pixel density) is not too bad for its size, although you may need to decrease your expectations about the screen. The advantage is that lower resolution display doesn’t consume much battery power. Viewing angles and visibility are good enough. Under direct sunlight, visibility can be tricky since you should adjust the holding angle. Scratch-resistant glass is a nice touch as the screen has a protection feature. Other features like Multitouch support up to 4 fingers, Accelerometer, and Proximity sensor are also included.

You can find a 5 MP camera on the rear side of the phone. It has fairly rich features including autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, image stabilization, HDR, panorama, and video recording capability. You can record a video up to 720p@30fps. The quality of the photos is not special. Then you may think that such camera should give something more special. A front-facing VGA camera is a good addition since you can use it for video calling. The Xperia M still has many to offer such as: Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic; GPS with A-GPS support; Document viewer; Digital compass; Stereo FM radio with RDS; Email; Instant Messaging; Push Email; HTML5; SNS integration; MP4/H.263/H.264 player; MP3/eAAC+/WAV player; Photo viewer/editor; Voice memo; Voice dial; Predictive text input; and more.

Size: 124 x 62 x 9.3 mm (4.88 x 2.44 x 0.37 in)
Weight: 115 g (4.06 oz)
