The display of Acer Iconia Tab A500 features 10.1” LCD capacitive touchscreen with 800 x 1280 pixels resolution; Acer UI; Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate; Gyro sensor; Multi-touch input method; and Proximity sensor for auto turn-off. Its body casing is made of metal material. This tablet installed with Android OS v3.0 (Honeycomb) which is upgradable to v3.2. To support the performance, it uses Dual-core 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor, ULP GeForce GPU, Tegra 2 T20 chipset along with 1 GB DDR2 RAM. You may have to perform a reset if your tablet fails to respond when buttons are pressed or the screen is tapped. To reset your tablet use a small thin object (such as a paperclip) to press the recessed reset button.

A clean boot will restore your Acer Iconia Tab A500 tablet to the factory settings.
