HTC HD7S Specifications and Features

HTC HD7S is a Windows Phone 7 smartphone powered by 1 GHz Scorpion processor, using Qualcomm QSD8250 Snapdragon chipset and Adreno 200 GPU with 576MB RAM / 512MB ROM. If you’ve already known HTC HD7, this HD7S is its rebranded version. The display features 4.3” WVGA Super LCD capacitive touchscreen with 480 x 800 pixels resolution; Accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate; and Proximity sensor for auto turn-off. It has 16 GB internal storage, but doesn’t support for external memory card.

HD7S also offers 5 MP camera supported with Dual LED Flash Light, AutoFocus, Geo-tagging, and HD Video Recording capability. Unfortunately, there is no secondary camera for video calling. For the connectivity, it is equipped with Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n; Bluetooth version 2.1 with A2DP support; and microUSB version 2.0. Other features of the phone are: Zune Player; Stereo FM radio with RDS; GPS with A-GPS support; Bing Maps; Pocket Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, PDF viewer); Predictive text input; Facebook and Twitter Integration; Digital Compass; MIDP 2.0 supported (Java); YouTube Client; and more. HTC HD7S supports GSM network and 3G. In US, this phone is available along with AT&T Carrier.

HTC HD7S Hard Reset to Restore Factory Default Settings

Factory reset is not a step to be taken lightly. It will permanently delete all your data and customized settings, and will also remove any apps you’ve downloaded and installed. Be sure to back up any data and files you want to keep before you do a factory reset. HTC HD7S Hard Reset returns your phone to the state it was in before the first time you turned it on.

Performing a factory reset via settings

To perform a factory reset via settings, follow below instructions:

  • On the Start screen, tap image.
  • Tap Settings > about phone.
  • Tap reset your phone, and then tap yes.

Performing a factory reset using phone buttons

If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.

  • With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons, and then briefly press the POWER button.
  • Wait for the screen to show the instructions on how to do the factory reset, and then release the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons.
  • Follow the instructions onscreen to factory reset your phone.
