HTC Desire 200 Specifications and Features
The HTC Desire 200 looks fairly good in its soapy shape. It has round corners and patterned back cover. It is also comfortable to hold due to its small size. It comes with a modest 3.5” capacitive touchscreen which features HTC Sense UI 4.0, Multitouch support, Accelerometer, and Proximity sensor. The responsive touchscreen allows you to operate the phone smoothly and easily. To help you with the navigation, it also provides three capacitive navigational keys underneath the display. The screen has a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels (165 ppi pixel density), which means that you won’t be able to watch high quality videos on it. However, it has good visibility outside and tolerable viewing angles.
Inside, a 1 GHz Snapdragon S1 processor works together with 512 of MB RAM to power the phone. It has no problem in running the Android v4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) operating system. It may take some times to launch certain apps, but it can handle basic tasks pretty well. To store your data and media files, it only provides 4 GB of internal storage. Luckily, it has memory card slot that enables storage expansion up to 32 GB. Connectivity options are quite various. It offers Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP; Infrared port; and microUSB v2.0.
A 5 MP camera on the back of the phone is equipped with fixed-focus and video recording capability. The camera only has limited features including a few color effects. There are no alternative shooting modes. The quality of the photo is not too special. You may miss something on the details and colors. The camera is capable to shoot a video in 640×480 VGA resolution. A front-facing camera, which can be used for video calling, is not available. But that’s not a big deal since there are still many other features in this phone like GPS with A-GPS support; Email; Push Email; Radio; HTML5; SNS integration; MP4/H.263/H.264/WMV player; MP3/eAAC+/WMA/WAV player; Beats Audio sound enhancement; Google Search; Maps; Gmail; YouTube; Calendar; Google Talk; Organizer; Document viewer; Photo viewer/editor; Voice memo; Voice dial; Predictive text input; and more.
