Nokia Lumia 2520 Specifications and Features

Nokia Lumia 2520 is claimed to be the first tablet that uses Windows RT 8.1 operating system. It sports a 10.1" IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with 1080 x 1920 pixels resolution (218 ppi pixel density). It has good brightness and visibility. Images and text look pretty sharp on the screen. The responsive touchscreen, along with the multitouch support, will give you an ease in operating the tablet. To protect it from scratches, it uses Corning Gorilla Glass 2. Other supporting features are Accelerometer, Gyroscope, and Proximity sensor.

The Lumia 2520 is armored with Quad-core 2.2 GHz Krait 400 processor, Adreno 330 GPU, and 2 GB of RAM. The tablet also supports 4G LTE connectivity. 32 GB of internal storage is ready to accommodate your documents and multimedia files. You can even expand it by using external memory card up to 64 GB. The connectivity features consist of Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band); Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v4.0; USB v3.0, USB Host support; and NFC.

On the rear panel, you’ll find a 6.7 MP camera which is equipped with Carl Zeiss optics, autofocus, 1/3.4” sensor size, and video recording capability (up to 1080p@30fps). Hard Reset Nokia Lumia 2520 to Restore Factory Settings

You can reset your Nokia Lumia 2520 tablet to restore the default factory settings. There are three approaches you may take depending on the level of access you have on the unit.

I. If you are logged in to your Lumia 2520:

  1. Swipe in from the right to open the charms, and select Settings.
  2. Tap Change PC settings > Update and recovery > Recovery.
  3. From here select one of the options that suits your needs, either:
    • Refresh your PC without affecting your files.
    • Remove everything and reinstall Windows.
  4. Follow the on-screen guidance.

II. If you are able to boot but have since forgotten your login credentials:

  1. At the login prompt, tap the Ease of access icon.
  2. Select On-Screen Keyboard.
  3. Tap the shift key, the shift key should remain lit.
  4. In the lower right corner, tap the power key and select Restart.
  5. When the unit reboots, select the Troubleshoot option.
  6. From here select one of the options that suits your needs, either:
    • Refresh your PC without affecting your files.
    • Remove everything and reinstall Windows.
  7. Follow the on-screen guidance.

III. If you are unable to boot the unit and reach the login prompt, then the recovery mode can be triggered to reset the unit by following these steps:

  1. Power off the unit (holding the power button 10 seconds if necessary).
  2. Momentarily press the power button so the unit boots up. You should notice the green LED light next to the front camera. As soon as you see the Nokia logo, hold down the power button until the unit turns off (approximately 10 seconds). You have now successfully interrupted the boot process.
  3. Repeat the above step once more.
  4. Boot the unit for a third time without interrupting the boot process. You will notice the text ‘Preparing Automatic Repair‘ followed by ‘Diagnosing your PC‘. You have now successfully triggered the recovery mode.
  5. Follow the on-screen guidance.
