LG Optimus Zone Specification and Features
LG Optimus Zone sports a modest 3.2” TFT capacitive touchscreen. With only 240 x 320 pixels resolution (125 ppi pixel density), it may look much less interesting than the latest smartphones that have large screen and high resolution. However the screen looks reasonably clear so you can still read the text or view images well. Its small size allows you to operate it easily with only one hand and makes it easier to carry. The touchscreen is responsive and fun to use. Other standard features like Multitouch support, Accelerometer and Proximity sensor are also included.
The Optimus Zone is installed with Android v2.3.6 (Gingerbread) operating system. To support the performance, it counts on an 800 MHz processor and 512 MB of RAM. It may not be a super fast smartphone, but at least it can handle basic task pretty well. Most apps can be launched promptly. Transition between menus is fairly smooth without any heavy lags. The phone provides you with 4 GB of internal storage. To expand the capacity, you can add external memory card up to 32 GB. The connectivity features comprise of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP; and microUSB v2.0.
A modest 3.15 MP camera can be found on the back panel. It’s not special but still acceptable. In fact, the camera is good enough for its class. It’s all you can get since there is no other camera in this phone. The Optimus Zone also offers other features such as: Digital compass; Email; Push Email, Instant Messaging; HTML5; GPS with A-GPS support; SNS integration; Google Search; Maps; Gmail; YouTube; Google Talk; DivX/MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV player; MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+ player; Document viewer; Organizer; Voice memo; Predictive text input; and more.
