LG Optimus L5 II Specifications and Features
LG Optimus L5 II is a good looking handset with decent build quality. The plastic material doesn’t make it look cheap, but it doesn’t look premium either. It sports a spacious a 4.0” IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen which enables you to type more comfortably on its virtual keyboard and watch videos with wider viewing angles. The screen looks pretty bright and clear with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (233 ppi pixel density). It has good color accuracy even when the brightness is low. You can read the text clearly outdoors by adjusting its brightness level. The touchscren is quite responsive so you can swipe smoothly through menus. Other features such as Multitouch support, Accelerometer, and Proximity sensor are also included.
The L5 II is installed with Android v4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system. Under the hood, you’ll find a 1 GHz processor which works together with PowerVR SGX531 GPU and 512 MB of RAM. It’s definitely not a speed demon and you can’t expect something superb on it. However, there’s nothing much to complain about. You may notice some slight delays while operating the phone, but in general, it can handle most tasks with decent speed. Storage space is a bit disappointing. It only has 4 GB of internal storage (1.4 GB user available), which is very limited for a smartphone. Thankfully, it provides memory card slot that can be used to expand the storage capacity. It can accommodate external memory card up to 32 GB. Connectivity options are quite various including Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band); Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP; microUSB v2.0; and NFC.
There’s nothing special about the phone’s camera. It only offers a modest 5 MP camera which features autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, ISO adjustment, exposure control, and video recording capability. The quality of the images is acceptable, especially if captured in good lighting environments. They show accurate colors and sufficient details. But sometimes indoor photos can be noisy. A secondary front-facing camera is not available in this phone, so you won’t be able to make video calls.
The L5 II still has many features to offer such as QuickMemo; Document viewer; GPS with A-GPS support; FM radio with RDS; Voice memo; Voice dial; Digital compass; Email; Push Email; Instant Messaging; HTML5; Google Search; Maps; Gmail; YouTube; Google Talk; SNS integration; MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV player; MP3/WAV/WMA/eAAC+ player; Organizer; Predictive text input; and more.
