Samsung Galaxy Win Specificatinos and Features

Samsung Galaxy Win is a mid range smartphone that runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. With a quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A5 processor inside, the phone offers you a great mobile experience. It can handle multitasking with different applications pretty well. Touch response and transitions are so smooth with no lags. You can also play 3D games with decent performance. To handle all those tasks, the processor is backed by 1 GB of RAM. A Dual SIM card support (optional) is another advantage that you can get from the phone. It is a practical solution if you have different numbers to deal with. 8 GB built-in storage is good enough for a smartphone. But if you plan to store your media in this phone, it is better to add extra memory card (up to 32 GB). Connectivity options are quite various. The phone supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi hotspot; DLNA; Bluetooth v3.0; and microUSB v2.0.

A huge 4.7” TFT capacitive touchscreen is another highlight of the Galaxy Win. It is quite spacious to type with the on-screen keyboard. It also offers good visibility and wider viewing angles. Operating the phone is even more enjoyable with the support of a very responsive touchscreen that has Multitouch feature. Accelerometer and Proximity sensor are also included to support the display. The screen has a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (199 ppi pixel density), which is a bit disappointing. The resolution may work better in a smaller screen, but with such gigantic screen, you can’t expect something special.

On the rear side of the phone, you can find a decent 5 MP camera which is equipped with autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, touch focus, face and smile detection, and video recording capability. It can capture good quality images both indoors and outdoors. It is also able to record videos up to 480p@30fps. However, shooting photos or videos in low light condition is always a huge challenge for a phone camera.

The Galaxy Win still has many features to offer such as: Image/video editor; Document viewer;  GPS with A-GPS support; Stereo FM radio with RDS; Digital compass; Email; Push Mail; Instant Messaging; RSS; HTML5; Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic; SNS integration; MP4/WMV/H.264/H.263 player; MP3/WAV/eAAC+/AC3/FLAC player; Organizer; Google Search; Maps; Gmail; YouTube; Calendar; Google Talk; Picasa; Voice memo; Voice dial; Voice commands; Predictive text input; and more.
