HTC Desire Z comes with slide side form factor, featuring a Slide out Full QWERTY Keyboard and 3.7” S-LCD capacitive touchscreen (480 x 800 pixels resolution). The display also equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass protection, Touch sensitive controls, Multitouch, HTC Sense UI, Accelerometer and proximity sensor. The phone uses Android OS v2.2 (Froyo) that can be upgraded to v2.3. To support the performance, it is armored with 800 MHz Scorpion CPU, Adreno 205 GPU, Qualcomm MSM7230 chipset, and 512 MB RAM. It provides 1.5 GB internal storage and microSD card support up to 32GB. The connectivity features consist of: Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP; and microUSB v2.0. For the camera, it has 5 MP camera with autofocus, LED flash, Geo-tagging, face detection, and video recording capability.

Factory Reset HTC Desire Z to Restore Default Settings

Hard Reset HTC Desire Z

You can reset your HTC Desire Z to its factory default settings. There are two different ways you can perform the reset, via menu settings and via phone buttons. Note that a hard reset will permanently delete all your data and customized settings, and will remove any applications you’ve downloaded and installed. Be sure to back up any data and files you want to keep before you do a factory reset.

Reset HTC Desire Z via Menu Settings

  • From the Home screen, press MENU, and then tap Settings.
  • Tap SD & phone storage > Factory data reset.
  • On the Factory data reset screen, tap Reset phone, and then tap Erase everything.

If you can’t turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.

Reset HTC Desire Z via Menu Settings

  • With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME DOWN button, and then briefly press the POWER button.
  • Wait for the screen with the three Android images to appear, and then release the VOLUME DOWN button.
  • Press VOLUME DOWN to select FACTORY RESET, and then press the POWER button.
