Factory Reset HTC 7 Mozart to Restore Default Values

There are 2 different ways you can hard reset your HTC 7 Mozart, via menu settings and via phone buttons. Note that hard reset (factory data reset) will permanently delete all your data and customized settings, and will also remove any apps you’ve downloaded and installed. Be sure to back up any data and files you want to keep before you do a factory reset.

  • On the Start screen, tap image .
  • Tap Settings > about phone.
  • Tap reset your phone, and then tap yes.

If you cannot turn on your phone or access the phone settings, you can still perform a factory reset by using the buttons on the phone.

  • With the phone turned off, press and hold the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons, and then briefly press the POWER button.
  • Wait for the screen to show the instructions on how to do the factory reset, and then release the VOLUME UP and DOWN buttons.
