HTC 8XT Specifications and Features

HTC 8XT has a pretty good design with subtle curves and soft touch back. Despite its large display, the phone is very comfortable to hold. It sports a 4.3” capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (217 ppi pixel density). The screen has good brightness and viewing angles. The color accuracy is also not bad. If you have fat fingers, you’ll be able to type more comfortably on its spacious virtual keyboard. The Multitouch support will ease your job in operating the phone. The display is polished with Corning Gorilla Glass as a protection from scratches and to prevent further damage. Standard features like Accelerometer and Proximity sensor are also included.

Looking inside, a dual-core 1.4 GHz Krait processor, Adreno 305 GPU, and 1 GB of RAM will be responsible for the phone’s performance. This should be good enough to do multitasking. You can’t expect monstrous processing speed, but you’ll have decent speed to do basic tasks and launch various apps. On the storage sector, the 8XT provides 8 GB built-in memory. If you need extra space to store your media files, the phone allows you to add external memory card (up to 64 GB). For the connectivity, it supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n (dual-band), Wi-Fi hotspot; Bluetooth v4.0 with A2DP; NFC; and microUSB v2.0.

The 8 MP rear camera is another bright side of this phone. It does a fine job to produce good quality pictures, especially in good lighting environments. The color reproduction and detail levels are pretty satisfying. In low light condition, it still suffers from graining. You can also use the camera to record a video up to 1080p@30fps. There are some features that support the camera such as autofocus, LED flash, ImageSense technology, backside illumination, an f/2.0 aperture lens, and geo-tagging. A front-facing 1.6 MP camera is an excellent addition since you can use it for video calling.

Other features that you can find in the 8XT are Stereo speakers; Built-in amplifiers; Beats Audio sound enhancement; Document viewer; Video/photo editor; GPS with A-GPS support and GLONASS; Digital compass; Instant Messaging; Push Email; HTML5; SNS integration; 7GB free SkyDrive storage; Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic; MP3/WAV/eAAC+/WMA player; MP4/H.264/H.263/WMV player; Voice memo; Voice dial; Predictive text input; and more.
